Okey Dokey,

Some explanations might be in order.
All the things above are supposed to be related to my blog in some way. Because my blog is just about me, and what's going on in my life, I thought I'd choose the above feeds because the relate to me in someway.

OK, There are 3 photo's in my Flickr account, one of Telstra Tower (because it is a Canberra Icon, and I am Canberran), the second pic is of my Husband, daughter, and brother in law, and the third one is a photo of me, Matt (my hubby) and Breanna (my daughter).

Why did I choose the Raw Comedy podcast? Well, why not? We all need laughter in our lives, so why not subscribe to a podcast.

The RSS feed is for IP Australia, where I work. I thought it would be interesting (and about time) to subscribe, seeing as though one of my jobs is to publish the XML feed each time we have a news item updated on our website. I had no idea what it looked like from the RSS Feed end - interesting.

Girls Night In Success

Hello,
I held my 'Girls Night In' on saturday evening and raised $165 for The Australian Cancer Council - I am pretty proud of myself.
Fernwood at Tuggeranong donated a 4 week gym pass, that included a personal training session, to be raffled off to help raise money. Mary White was the lucky winner.

Not much else has been happening. I need to work on my blog to get a pass in my Software and Hardware class, including setting up a flickr account, and subscribing to an RSS feed. I also have some Java stuff to do (which I am struggling with), as well as finish my continuous improvement project for my Introduction to Managment program.

I can't wait 'till Christmas because all of my school work for both TAFE and work will be over with for a while. Regardless of whether I pass or fail my units, by Christmas, I won't have a say in the matter anymore.

Had best go, and work on my Java assignment some more - Oh god I am struggling.

Girls Night In

Hello,

I've been meaning to post a message for a while, but I always get sidetracked and forget.
Anyhoo, My latest good deed has been to sign up to host a 'Girls Night In' to raise money for Breast and Gynacological Cancers, through the Australian Cancer Council.

I'm using pretty pink text in my post, because that is the breast cancer support colour (I just hope it turns out OK on the Blog page).

I decided to host a GNI because I thought it would be fun, and the more awareness of the diseases and money raised will help to beat them. For those of you that don't know, I have had 2 biopsies for cervical cancer, one when I was 20, and another one 12 months later. Never think that you are too young - get tested. Pap smears aren't fun, but I'd rather be inconvenienced for a quick test than suffer the consequences.

Alrighty - enough seriousness. On a much more happy note, Renee & Craig welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Kayden, a couple of weeks ago. Big Brother Beau is smitten.

Better go and do some more homework.

Hi All,

I have to share my new found favorite show - MXC, Most extreme Elimitation Challenge. Remeber the old Japanese game show, Takeshi's Castle, where people do really stupid stunts and games? Well MXC the same show, but with American voice overs. It is absolutely hillarious (I'm talking tears streaming down the face hillarious).

For those of you with Foxtel (or similar), the show is on Chanel V at 7:30pm weeknights, and a double header from 7pm on Sat & Sun.
